Kanji is an insect growth regulator (IGR) that works to control the whitefly and scale insects of all kinds.  Kanji struggles with tunnel makers (in the stage before the butterflies emerge) in vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, eggplant and cucurbits and in field crops such as sugarcane, corn, cotton, beans and in fruit trees such as citrus, mango, sweets and olives.  It is also used to combat aphids, leafhoppers and thrips in the egg stage and the first hatching in the field and inside the greenhouse, as it works to prevent eggs from hatching and disrupt the growth and development processes of hatching, which leads to the death of hatching and the elimination of infection.

Effective Material:

Kanji 10% EC is an insecticide from the JUVENILE HORMONE MIMIC "PYRIDINE" group. It contains the active substance Pyriproxyphene in the form of an emulsifiable concentrate. A liter contains 100 grams of active ingredient.

How It Works:

Kanji 10% EC contains the active substance (pyriproxyphene), which is an effective insect growth regulator at a low concentration to combat whiteflies and scale insects by preventing eggs from hatching and disturbing the growth and development processes of nymphs, which leads to their death. It is also characterized by its easy absorption by the outer layer of the plant and its permeation to the surface bottom is where the injury is.

Features:

• Kanji 10% EC affects the first stages of growth (phases) of the insect's life, where the effectiveness of the pesticide appears during the first week after treatment, and its effect on eggs and nymphs extends from 3-5 weeks.
• Kanji 10% EC is highly effective for controlling larvae, nymphs and eggs of whitefly and scale insects and preventing the growth of their various stages.
• Kanji 10% EC has low toxicity to mammals, marine organisms and farm animals according to the World Health Organization and Food and Agriculture Organization, has not shown any harmful effects on honey bees, and is safe on vital enemies.

• Kanji 10% EC is miscible with most compounds, except for highly alkaline compounds such as Bordeaux mixture. It is recommended that an experiment be carried out to check the compatibility of the mixture before spraying over large areas.

Notes:

1. The number of sprays in one season should not exceed two sprays for the same crop.
2. Spray Kanji 10% EC at the onset of imperfect instars of scale insects and whiteflies before large numbers of adults are present.
3. The vegetative group must be completely covered with the spray solution to ensure that the pesticide reaches all parts of the plant, especially the lower surface of the leaves, where whitefly nymphs are abundant.
4. In case of severe infestation, Kanji 10% EC can be mixed with a light mineral oil to increase the efficiency of the control on scale insects in citrus.
5. Kanji 10% EC is used to control household pests such as cockroaches, fleas and bed bugs at a rate of 0.5 to 1 cm per liter of water.
