Cuproxat is a fungal / bacterial copper compound produced by Nufarm - Austria, which is effective in combating many diseases with a higher efficiency than other copper compounds due to the size of its micro-particles (less than 1 micron) and its ability to penetrate into the leaves of the plant, which ensures better surface coverage with the compound, which achieves the highest levels of control compared to other copper compounds.
Effective Material:
Cuproxat is a copper compound in the form of tri-base Copper Sulfate with a ratio of 34.5%, equivalent to 19% of metallic copper.
How It Works:
When the cuproxat compound is sprayed, the copper ions present in the spray solution stick to the treated surfaces and penetrate them and then move to the pathogenic spores (fungus/bacteria) during the germination process and accumulate inside them until they reach high concentrations that lead to the failure of the germination process and loss of their ability to penetrate the surface of the plant and thus kill the cell germ.
Features:
- Cuproxat is a copper fungal/bacterial compound whose granules are extremely small, which ensures complete and homogeneous coverage of the treated surfaces and adhesion of the compound to them for the longest possible period, which increases the effectiveness of the compound and the spacing of the time period between spraying and another compared to other compounds, thus reducing costs and preserving the environment.
- Cuproxat is listed among the pesticides used in biological agriculture according to European Union Resolution No. 834/2007.
- Cuproxat is free of organic solvents and chlorine, which ensures no toxicity to the treated plants.
- The technology used in the manufacture of Cuproxat is the finest and most efficient form of tri-base copper sulfate, allowing the following:
- Complete coverage of the treated plant surface, even those containing a waxy layer.
- It spreads easily and homogeneously inside the tank of the used spray machine.
- Cuproxat is prepared in the form of a liquid that distinguishes it from the compounds in the form of granules or powder.
- High efficiency with the use of a limited amount of copper.
- Cuproxat is not affected by rainfall due to its strong adhesion to the treated surface.
- Cuproxat is a stable compound that can withstand long storage periods due to its production using a very advanced technology.
- Cuproxat is a copper compound with a double benefit as it protects the plant from many fungal and bacterial plant diseases and also supplies the plant with its nutritional needs of copper.
- Cuproxat can be mixed with oils, other insecticides and fungicides, and it is preferable to test the mixture before application.
